Samsung QN90D TV

Samsung QN90D 4K QLED TV

Samsung QN90D is the best 4K QLED TV the firm offers, with great picture quality and outstanding gaming performance. However, it’s not always the greatest choice available in Samsung’s selection. Samsung does, after all, also produce 8K LED TVs like the QN900D and 4K OLED TVs like the S95D. The QN90D costs around $2,700 for the 65-inch model, which is half as much as the QN900D ($4,999) and somewhat less than the same-size S95D around $3,400. It is also available in a considerably wider range of screen sizes, from 43 to 98 inches. Although the S95D has a more fashionable style and superior picture quality, we still think it’s an attractive high-end TV if you want to spend the most money.

Design:

The bezel-free screen of the QN90D is surrounded by a thin, dark gray metal ring, giving it a sleek, uncomplicated appearance. It has a relatively narrow neck on the back that provides the hazy sense that the screen is floating, and it is supported by a large, hexagon-shaped dark metal base. Although the remote can also be used to connect wirelessly to the TV via Bluetooth, the sensor for the remote is housed in a small, rectangular bump in the lower right corner of the screen.

Display and Performance:

The audio and visuals on the QN90D series are powered by an upgraded NQ4 AI Gen2 processor that has 20 AI neural networks. In order to improve the appearance of 4K images with HDR, picture improvements like Neo Quantum HDR+ and HDR Brightness Enhancer are available. Additionally, Auto HDR Remastering can be used to add more dynamism to standard HD sources. Similar to the QN90C, this model also features an anti-glare screen coating and an Ultra Viewing Angle to increase visual uniformity when seen from off-center seats. Quantum Matrix Technology aids in backlight management for local dimming.

Audio Quality:

With a built-in 4.2.2-channel speaker system that consumes 60 watts, the QN90D offers many of the same audio processing functions as the company’s other high-end TVs. These include Active Voice Amplifier Pro, which enhances conversation and sound effects to heighten their clarity in the mix, and Object Tracking Sound+, which widens the sound field to amplify the impact of Dolby Atmos effects. For even more immersive audio, the QN90C may be used with compatible Samsung soundbars to combine the TV’s speakers with Q Symphony.

Gaming Features:

The QN90D series has four HDMI 2.1 ports with compatibility for 4K 120Hz (and up to 144Hz for PC gaming) and FreeSync Premium Pro as gaming features. Additionally, Samsung has a gaming hub called Gaming Hub through which users can access over 3,000 titles from cloud-based apps including Xbox, Nvidia GeForce Now, Utomik, and others. AI Auto Mode, a feature that can identify game genres and modify picture and sound settings accordingly, has been added to Samsung’s Game Bar menu..

Conclusion:

A good TV, the Samsung QN90D comes in a variety of screen sizes and is reasonably priced (well, maybe not the 98-inch variant, which costs around $15,000). It includes several features that will appeal to gamers, as well as outstanding color performance and excellent contrast. Though not nearly as striking to look at as the S95D, which has a wider color spectrum, is brighter. However, if you’d prefer a larger (or smaller, or less expensive for the same size) model, this is a fine substitute. That being said, we suggest an OLED TV like Samsung’s S95D, if you’re ready to shell out more money for a genuinely premium experience.
